Always reliable, great pots

This is my third time ordering from Wakefield Pottery, and they've been consistently great. This time I got a large garden urn and a few smaller long tom pots. The quality is just as good as my previous orders – sturdy, well-made, and they weather beautifully. Shipping was pretty standard, about a week, which is what I've come to expect. Their pots really hold up over time; my first ones still look fantastic. I keep coming back because I know I'm getting something that will last and look good in the garden.

Good quality, slow shipping

I ordered a couple of their terracotta planters. The pots themselves are really nice, very solid and have that classic look I wanted. Packaging was secure, everything arrived intact. It took about 10 days for them to get to me in Arizona, which felt a bit long. I probably would order again for a special piece.

From what I understand, Wakefield Handmade is actually Guy Wolff's son, Ben Wolff. So it's technically from the same family line and tradition.

I returned a bowl once, wasn't quite the color I expected. It was pretty straightforward, just had to pay for return shipping. They were cool about it though.

As long as it's not damaged or a custom order, I think you have a window to return. Check their policy, but I remember it being fairly standard for online stores.

I'm looking at their larger terracotta planters. Are these really durable for outdoor use in colder climates? Don't want them cracking over winter.

I'm in Michigan and have had a few of their bigger pots outside for two winters now. No issues at all, they seem really robust and haven't cracked in the frost.

They mention traditional firing methods, which usually makes them pretty frost resistant. I've got some of their smaller herb pots and they've held up fine through a couple of cold snaps already.

I snagged a couple of seconds during a sale last year. One had a very slight wobble, the other a small chip on the rim that you really had to look for. Totally worth the discount for garden use.

They usually describe the imperfections, I've seen some with minor glaze issues or small cosmetic flaws. Nothing that would affect its function, usually. Great way to save a bit.

Wakefield is definitely more artisan and handmade. Campo de' Fiori has some nice stuff but Wakefield's just feels more unique and traditional. Terrain is more general garden store vibes.

I'd say Wakefield is higher quality, proper hand-thrown pottery. Campo de' Fiori can be good, but sometimes feels a bit mass-produced compared to Wakefield's stuff. It's a different league really.
